Casual Outfit :: Bomber Jacket, Graphic Tee & Velvet Mini Skirt

what to wear with a black mini skirt
Happy Friday! Excited the weekend is here, I have some planning to do and most of all I cannot wait to sleep in and sneak a couple more workouts. I really want my weekends to be healthier, I’m usually all about indulging on weekends which is a bad habit. Keep in mind a new weekly newsletter is dropping on Sunday so don’t miss it. Over there I have special content like reviews, giveaways, latest purchases, best of sales that don’t make it to the blog. You can sign up here.

Is this not the best tee ever? It’s by Saint + Spade, this new brand has a minimal aesthetic that I’m all about. This particular tee got my attention the most because it describes me perfectly. I got the fitted version, but it also comes in a looser tee and sweatshirt. I kept the rest of this look pretty simple and rocked my mini skirt, favorite jacket, and classic Adidas Stan Smith. Love classic sneakers? You have to check out “The_Ones” by Zappos that’s a one stop shop for all the classic kicks.

Mustard Yellow Paper Bag Pants

outfit with mustard yellow paper bag pants
Hey guys! Back at it with another work look and pretending it’s Spring, well I live in South Florida and it actually feels like early Summer right now. This is why everyone is getting sick, mother nature just can make up her mind. Oh well, I’m glad I can wear my yellow paperbag pants. I still love this trend but I still went with a cheaper one. (see how I wore it last year) I picked up these pants at one of the best Forever 21 I’ve ever been to, the one on Lincoln road in South Beach. It is huge and always have the best selection.

Let’s actually talk about the best piece in this look, this is THE perfect shirt. I got it at Madewell and I already feel like I need a back up. It’s soft, roomy and fits perfectly. I was sold as soon as I touched it, it washes well but I do make sure to put it in a laundry bag to void any snags. I think Madewell is quickly becoming a favorite, they make such great quality basics. I currently have my eyes on their denim jacket, I’m finally due for a new one.

By the way I noticed that Loft came out with pants similar to mine and I’m pretty sure their fabric is more durable and thicker. That’s all for me today, have a great day ladies.

A Minimal Jewelry Guide

minimal jewelry guide for dainty jewelry lovers
I finally came to the conclusion that I don’t like statement jewelry, I may be into a piece for a short period but eventually I stop wearing them. I sold the majority of my statement pieces on eBay this past month and thankfully they all sold really fast. So now my jewelry box has a lot of extra room but the few pieces I have and wear, I truly love. I kept a couple long necklaces and statement earrings just in case I get the urge to wear them once in a while. My go-to earrings are always studs or simple gold hoops, I really don’t wear much else. I love charm necklaces and during the Black Friday sales I splurged on that one, my only regret is that I only purchased one while they had 25% off. I also love this and this.

I got this bracelet a while ago but I still reach out for it every morning. I love this style and would love to get a couple more like this and this. I also love dainty rings and most of mine are from gorjana and madewell, a great place to get some pretty nice ones is Amazon and they are inexpensive. If you want to splurge I recommend ring concierge, David Yurman also has some gorgeous simple pieces. I love eternity bands, this one is under $50. I have Gucci silver studs and would the ring version.

If you want to simplify you jewelry collection you should really pay attention to the pieces you wear the most and go from there. Look at your jewelry box and identity the ones you haven’t worn in a long time, maybe they are outdated, too big, uncomfortable? That was the case for me, so I sold most of them and now I’m much happier with my tiny collection.

Hope you find this post helpful and let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!

Going Out Outfit :: Plaid Blazer, Lace Cami, Black Skinny Jeans

Outfit with Grey Plaid Blazer
Hey guys! I’m back with my favorite blazer, we had a solid Fall this year and I got to wear all my blazers a lot. Actually we are still getting cooler days here and there, like on Saturday in the morning I was in shorts but in the afternoon I had to wear my faux leather jacket. This blazer was such a great buy but finally sold out. No worries though, I found a ton of affordable alternatives perfect to recreate this look.

Going out outfits in cooler weather are particularly challenging for me, I refuse to buy new clothes just for that, so I have to improvise with what I already own. Outfits like these are the result, it kept me warm enough but it was good to go from car to location without freezing. I love a good lace cami, they are a great piece to put together a cute going out outfit. The lace details just makes it a tad dressier and the price is unbeatable. I have it in 3 colors, I paired with my favorite black skinny jeans and pointed toe pumps. Just add a pop of color with a colorful bag if this look is a tad too minimal for you. More ways to style this plaid blazer here, here and here.

My “Pick of the Week” is this adorable little cross-body, it’s under $100 and comes in 4 additional colors.

Casual Outfit : Fleece Bomber Jacket, High Waist Jeans & Sneakers

casual outfit t-shirt jeans sneakers bomber jacket
Happy Friday! I’m telling you guys again, this fleece bomber jacket is the best thing ever. When I go to Target I usually stick to my list but this time I wandered around the clothing section and ended up picking this who what wear jacket. It is the perfect jacket to throw on over everything. We are still experiencing cooler days, it may go back to the 70s or 80s for a while but eventually it cools down, so I’m still reaching out for my sweaters and jackets. This one is just perfect for casual looks, I call it my weekend jacket. Check out IG to see a few more ways I’ve worn it.

This tee isn’t a must but is so darn cute, I avoided it online but caved when I saw it in stores. It has a retro feel to it and I cannot wait to wear it with high waist shorts for Summer. The rests are old favorites that you’ve probably seen before. Have a great weekend guys!
