Happy Valentine’s day! If in a relationship/married may you have a wonderful time with your honey. If single you can either ignore this holiday, go have fun with your single girlfriends or “my favorite” buy yourself something fancy (you totally deserve it). I’ve only done one designer dupe so far and wanted to bring it back, the thing is I’m a gal with very expensive taste on a budget. So I try to find other brands that create quality items at a more reasonable price. Vince Camuto, Steve Madden, ASOS (some brands there), Michael Kors, J.Crew and so on… I believe are really good at that. Below are a few designer items I dig and some affordable alternatives.
Hi everyone! I started writing this post 3 times already but failed every single time, well this is my last try. Life has been stressful lately but I love having this blog because it’s my little escape where I get to showcase and talk about my clothes. It’s weird and I know others might think it’s frivolous, but I get such joy by putting together outfits I love and feel comfortable in. Like Sheryl Crow said “if it makes you happy it can’t be that bad”.
I’m obviously still very much into peplum, they are perfect for hiding a food baby. I figured the white/navy stripes would be perfect for my fancy pants. Would you wear this outfit to work? Thank you so much for reading.Forever 21 (similar that I love) pants – LOFT pumps – Ralph Lauren (similar) headband – J.Crew Factory (similar) bracelet – CCO necklace – H&M (similar) sunnies – Ray-Ban
Happy Monday! As I was browsing Pinterest (story of my life), I saw that tee and thought it was darling. But I didn’t know who made it or where it was from, so imagine my excitement when I saw it at the Kate Spade store for 30% off. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I never ever skip breakfast so this tee was made for me. I paired it with a plaid mini skirt and red flat, there you have it my favorite brunch outfit by far.
On Saturdays and Sundays I usually cook and/or go out for brunch, this weekend I made whole wheat quinoa banana pancakes and they were marvelous (find recipe here). I have so much fun trying out recipes found on Pinterest.tee – Kate Spade “sold out online, but check local stores” (Similar) skirt – J.Crew belt – J.Crew Factory flats – Old Navy (Similar here, here and here) bow ring (old) – Kate Spade (Similar Steal & Splurge) statement necklace – CCO watch – Michael Kors sunnies – Ray-Ban
This is the perfect example of me not waking up on time to take my pictures, but I wanted to shoot my casual Friday outfit even with sun out. I hope you don’t mind the weird shadows on my jeans. But that’s pretty much how I dress on Friday’s because I’m usually tired and no longer care about looking cute anymore. On that note Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend. Needless to say that I love J.Crew, what attracts me the most to this brand is that while making classic clothing they manage to give it a modern twist. Women of all ages can wear J.Crew and I think that’s pretty phenomenal. Even if you work in a corporate environment you can still manage to shop there and give your wardrobe some personality. I’m dying over their new collection so I decided to dedicate this Thirsty Thursday to J.Crew’s new arrivals. I’m crushing for most pieces but the ones below are a few of my favorites. I wish I could just close my eyes and they would all appear in my closet *lol* Enjoy!
