
None of this is true by Shari Lapena: William is a doctor having an affair with one of the volunteers at the hospital he works at. When she ends their relationship, he goes home early hoping to have some alone time, but his difficult 9 yo daughter Avery is home. William loses his temper with her and leaves right after. Later in the day Avery is declared missing, the neighborhood is on alert and William doesn’t want to expose himself or his previous lover. I could not put this book down, it was such a fun read. 4/5 Stars
The Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer: Clover is a death doula living in New York, she doesn’t have much of a social life as it is hard for her to form connections with people, and many don’t really understand her job. When she acquires a new client, a feisty older woman with felt like she didn’t choose the right man for her, Clover is determined to help her reconnect with her old lover. This quest also pushes Clover out of her comfort zone. This started slow but it was such a heart warming story. 4/5 Stars
None of this is true by Lisa Jewell: Alix, a popular podcaster is celebrating her 45th birthday when she runs into Josie in a pub, Josie is also celebrating her 45th birthday, making them birthday twins. They run into each other again and Josie makes Alix a podcast proposal that she cannot refuse, although she has some reservations about Josie. Josie has a dark past and a lot of secrets. When Josie is finally out of Alix’s life, she has done enough damage to send her spiraling. Another one that started slow but then I could not put down. 4/5 Stars.
