The Last Invitation by Darby Kane: This book was a fun read and I could not put it down. Over a few years affluent people have died by accidents and suicides. When Gabby’s ex husband dies by suicide she is convinced he was killed. She comes across a journalist that has a theory about this group that is behind these suspicious deaths. Jessa a lawyer with a few skeletons in her closet, received an invitation to said group when her career and reputation is falling apart. She agrees to join as this would fix her career woes. When Gabby starts asking her questions (they went to law school together), Jessa is not sure how far she can go with this group to get the life she wants. My only issue with this book was that the protagonists were a bit careless, if you enjoyed The Collective, you might enjoy this as well. 3.5/5 Stars
Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney: Things have not been going well for the Wrights. Adam and Amelia are on their way to a weekend in Scotland, they are hoping this time away will make things better. Amelia won the gateway in a raffle at work, Adam has face blindness and cannot recognized anyone, including his wife. As soon as they get there, weird things start happening. I can’t say much without giving it away but this was such a fun read. The last chapter was not necessary in my opinion. I also loved Daisy Darker by the same author. 4/5 Stars
