Everything I Wore in March 2020
My Skincare Routine with Retinol

Back in February, I did a post sharing my latest beauty empties. It was great to reflect on what I liked and have them saved in one place. So I decided to keep saving my empties, to track my favorite products.

Supergoop Unseen Suncreen: Sunscreen is a must for me since I use actives and retinol. I am currently using retinol almost everyday, so I need to protect my skin at all times. I will do a separate post on that. This is my second tube of this sunscreen so I’ve already repurchased it. Now however, I am using Supergoop’s latest, the Glowscreen. That one is great to use under makeup. If I’m going to be doing activities outside, my go-to sunscreen is that one. Supergoop is more my indoor sunscreen. Whatever sunscreen I’m using, if I’m going to be outdoors for a while, I always wear a wide brim hat (love that one) and sunglasses to protect the skin around my eyes, that is more sensitive.

Biologique Recherche Cream Placenta: I got this to help with acne scarring and even out my skintone, it worked for me when consistently used with P50. I am currently using retinol so I don’t need to repurchase this, however, I don’t plan on using retinol all the time, so eventually I will get a new jar of this. Love it paired with the placenta serum as well.

Biologique Recherche Serum Dermopore: At first, I was going to say this serum didn’t do anything, but when I stopped using because I ran out, I noticed my skin no longer had the smooth finish. It benefits are very subtle but it truly works, at least it did for me. I will not be repurchasing it at this time because of the price, but in a few months I might.

Biologique Recherche Serum Complexe Iribiol: Around that time of the month my skin always breaks out and this is why I like having this serum. It is not cheap, so I save for that time period only. I will repurchase it, I feel like even if I do break out, it does a great job at getting my skin in his previous state without new acne scars.

Biologique Recherche Serum PIGM 400: This is advertised as a dark spot treatment and unfortunately, I didn’t notice any progress while using it. I will not repurchase, it is far too expensive for me to experiment with.

Augustinus Bader The Cream: I reviewed the Rich Cream in my last post. The story is pretty much the same for that one. It didn’t do anything major, it’s just a really good moisturizer. In my humble opinion, it costs wayyyy too much money for a moisturizer. You can easily get a cheaper moisturizer that is as effective. I’ve never seen negative reviews on Augustinus Bader, so I think it’s just not for me.

Now let’s talk hair, my 4c hair needs moisture and hydration all the time.

Savannah Leave In Shea Butter: My first dermatologist always told me that shea butter was great for hair like mine. I love this leave in and I’ve used it til the very last drop. I also use their hair mask.

Moroccan Oil Hydrating Mask: This is another hair conditioner I have in arsenal and love. I use it after a wash or cowash, it leaves my hair light and hydrated. When I have time, I leave it on for 20 minutes with a heat cap on.

I reviewed the Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner and Origins Modern Friction Oil Cleanser in my last post, I’m on my fourth or sixth bottle for each, I don’t even know anymore.

Quick Picks

The products I’m not repurchasing are not necessarily bad but for the price and results I cannot justify them. You can also get Biologique Recherche products here as well.

Will Repurchase: Supergoop Unseen Suncreen, Biologique Recherche Cream Placenta, Biologique Recherche Serum Complexe Iribiol, Savannah Leave In Shea Butter, Moroccan Oil Hydrating Mask, Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner, Origins Modern Friction Oil Cleanser.

Will Not Repurchase: Biologique Recherche Serum Dermopore, Biologique Recherche Serum PIGM 400, Augustinus Bader The Cream.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by. Remember you can subscribe here to get my posts directly in your inbox.
