This is the post I had originally planned for today, by now a lot of these are probably on sale.

I am taking covid-19 very seriously, therefore I’ve been home for the past few days and will be for the foreseeable future. My fridge and pantry are well stocked and I can work from home so I have no reason to be out and about. I know not everyone has that option, but if you do please take advantage of it, that will keep you and others safe and healthy.

I know we are social creatures so if you feel bored, anxious, antsy or whatever from being stuck at home, please remember that it itself is a huge privilege. Some people don’t have the option to stay home. This is what I’m doing to keep myself sane, I live alone so I have seen ANYONE in a minute. I like to keep busy, so if you’re like me in any way, keep reading.

SCHEDULE VIDEO CHATS – with your friends and family. I had my first one on Monday, it was so nice to take a break from the news and everything to chat with friends. I have another one planned for the weekend. I’ve talked more on the phone this week than ever, it’s a good time to check on all your friends.

NO GYM NO PROBLEM – I miss my pilates classes so much, first world problem, I know. I’ve been taking classes for 2 years now and I have The Pilates Body book. There’s all the basic pilates moves in it, I’ve been doing them at home and I’m as exhausted as after a class. Keep in mind, you can still go for a run or walk outside, getting some sun is good for your immune system, just make sure to not go to crowded areas. If you do go to a park, remember to not use the workout sections. Keep one thing in mind, DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING! A lot of gyms are streaming workouts and YouTube has so many channels for Yoga, HiiT workouts. Trust me you can get a good workout without leaving your home.

COOK – You now probably have a pantry and fridge filled with food, this is a good time to utilize resources like YouTube to make basic meals if you don’t have the best cooking skills. You can’t use the excuse that you don’t have the time anymore. NYT Cooking and Preppy Kitchen are my faves. Also check out Jamie Oliver, Sam the Cooking Guy, and more.

DO A PUZZLE – They are fun, they take forever and will keep you occupied for a long time. I love Piecework Puzzles and I have a few from Galison as well.

BE CREATIVE – I love photography, I’ve always wanted to learn to draw, so guess what I’m doing this weekend. Get cheap painting supplies on Amazon and use what you have at home, please do not go to a store for that. Again YouTube is full of resources, I just found Shayda Campbell channel and I’m loving it.

DO YOUR NAILS – You probably have a bunch of nail polish and still go to a salon, now is the time to do it at home. If you can afford it, still pay your manicurist.

STREAMLINE YOUR CLOSET – Setting up the Stylebook App was a mission when I did it over a year ago. This is a great weekend project, that will also make you realize that you probably don’t need to shop for a while.

DEEP CLEANING – This goes without saying, the CDC said it, clean your home.

DECLUTTER – While on the topic of cleaning, this is a great time to declutter and organize. Not just your home, you computer, your phones, the stack of paper, receipts, mail, all of it!

TRACK YOUR FINANCES – Now more than ever, is a good time to get your budget in order, if you don’t have one or have unnecessary expenses, now is the time to get it together.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by. Remember you can subscribe here to get my posts directly in your inbox.
