Happy Monday! I hope you are all well and taking the proper precautions with everything going on right now. Make sure you take vitamin C daily, stay hydrated and stay home as much as possible. I am even skipping the gym this week, it really pains me to do this but it’s just not worth the risk. I’ll try my best to post here, so hopefully you find this blog entertaining.
I’ve always loved to cook but I still ate out quite a lot. When I looked at the numbers, I was pretty embarrassed. So one of my goals lately have been to cook more, only eat out twice a month at most. It’s been great so far, that wasn’t the goal at all but I totally shed a few pounds by eating at home more. I also feel like I’m way more satisfied after a meal. I’ve been inviting my friends over more, instead of going out to eat.
I love biscuits and this is the perfect basic recipe, then only switch I made was to use buttermilk instead of milk. In the biscuits above, I made two batches. In one, I added shredded cheddar and chives. In the other, I used two tablespoons of sugar and sprinkled some coarse brown sugar on top.
This is the Wine-Braised Chicken With Artichoke Hearts by Alison Roman. The thing I love about her recipes is that they tend to be pretty affordable. This is pretty much four huge servings and it’s really yummy, I’ve had it with a roasted sweet potato on the side.
Last but not least, this is the Turmeric Lemon Tea Cake, it is so delicious. The recipe is super easy and divine, I’ve been eating a slice with some whipped cream on the side all week.
Have a great day and thank you for stopping by. Remember you can subscribe here to get my posts directly in your inbox
