I didn’t buy any activewear for the over 2 years, finally at the end of last year I noticed that I needed a few new pieces. I am in workout clothes 80% of the time, so I’m hyper aware of uncomfortable tights and sports bras. Basically I hate anything that is overly tight because I spend my day in my leggings and sports bra. I tried a few pieces from Lululemon and Outdoor Voices, so I thought I would give them a proper review, just in case you were curious about both brands.

This set is by Outdoor Voices, if you get both, order through the OV kits so you can get a discount. I am wearing the TechSweat Crop top, it has padding and is very supportive. I’m a B cup and I’m wearing a small, I will definitely be buying more of these. Paired with the high waist leggings, they are not overly revealing.

These tights are wonderful, the material is medium weight and they have a nice stretch. They are flattering without being overly tight. I would repurchase these as well, I really want them in red or green.

These are the same TechSweat Crop top I’m wearing above but in pink. These are the latest leggings by Outdoor Voices, they are as comfortable as the ones above, but the band is tighter. I kept them but I definitely prefer these, so I would probably not repurchase these. They are however very cute, so I know I will wear them a lot.

Now let’s move on to Lulu, this black sports bra is the Free to be, it has light support and padding, which is ok for me. I also don’t like overly restrictive sport bras, so this is perfect. I am wearing a size 6.

These leggings may be my all time favorite, I am impatiently waiting for them to come in more colors. If you like a little support without being overly tight, this is the best! I tried them on in store and was immediately sold, I am wearing a size 6.

These are so far my favorite Lulu bra, it’s the Flow Y Bra. They are a great weight, I wear them in a 6 but I think I could also get away with a 4 but I didn’t want to risk it.

These are the Align leggings and I already have 4 of them. They have zero support and have that naked feeling, making them perfect for Pilates and yoga. I’ve ran and lifted in them as well, although that is not recommended. I wear a size 6 and always get them in 25″ inseam for my 5’4 frame.

These are the new ambition bras, also have light support and fit true to size for me, so I’m wearing a 6. I just loved this color.

I also wanted to get into my favorite workout sneakers, I over-pronate and last year after doing some research, I find out these were the best fit for me. I recently ordered my second pair and I’ve been so happy with them. You are suppose to replace your running shoes every 6 months and these lasted a solid 9 months. I’m usually a 7.5 and got these in a 8. The style is called Ghost, last year I got the Ghost 11 and this year the Ghost 12.

These are more casual training sneakers by APL, they are very comfortable, with good support and are incredibly light. Great for HiiT classes, I wouldn’t run in them because of my pronation. My exact color is on sale in limited sizes but find more cute colors here.

I have a few pieces, not pictured here, that I recommend:

  1. These Zella leggings, mines are 3 years old and still going strong.
  2. Gapfit tanks, these last forever. Some of mine are 4+ years old now, they still look new.
  3. Gapfit Eclipse leggings, they feel great and can be worn all day.
  4. Nike Indy bra, had mine for over 4 years. Had to recently let it go because it was in bad shape.
