January 2019 Recap

Happy Monday! Yesterday, I shared my first newsletter of the year, hope you enjoyed it and if you are not signed up, you can do so here. Did you guys have a great weekend? It started raining late Friday night and lasted all day Saturday. I only left my place to go pilates and yoga, other than that I enjoyed a slow weekend. I mentioned in yesterday’s newsletter that one of my goals this year is to live more slowly. I always feel like I should be doing something and while my natural attitude has helped accomplish my goals but this drive also make me feel restless at times.

So after my 7:30 AM pilates class on Saturday, yes I know, who does that? I went home, listened to podcasts, cooked myself a healthy breakfast, dinner and baked chocolate chips cookies. I watched the cutest movie on Netflix Lady-Like, with a good message at the end about being happy with yourself. I also did the very long version of my hair washing routine and gave myself an at home facial.

This is my version on self-care, it’s not whatever is currently hip. Keep in mind anything good you do for yourself, like cooking a meal, getting enough sleep, going on a walk and so on, is a form of self-care. You don’t have to drink celery juice in the morning if you don’t like it or whatever new life changing things that are constantly been advertised.

What I’m Wearing: Jacket // Bodysuit // Jeans // Belt // Bag // Shoes // Necklace // Sunglasses

Of course I have to talk about my outfit, I really loved pairing red and camel, I have very little red in my wardrobe so it was fun to put this combo together. I took these pics at The Americana before I went to see Aquaman, I love Jason Momoa so seeing this movie was a must! Have you seen any good movies lately?

PS: The link-up is live below and see you back on Wednesday for the first recap of the year.
