I finally feel like I’m back to my regular routine, last week was just a trial period. I’m rocking the same jeans I wore in Monday’s post, I usually wear more classic jeans to work but the step hems are kind of subtle. If you are looking for a more classic pair, try these. I have a lot of stripes to say the least but this oxford shirt is a new one for me. When it warms up, I cannot wait to pair it with my favorite shorts and sandals. For reference I’m wearing a medium. With the black jacket, my outfit was pretty dark so I opted for colorful flats because again I was too lazy to wear heels and a fun scarf for my tote.
I want to do a better job this year at having better basics, a more curated closet and re-wearing the pieces that I do have more. I’ve done a lot of de-cluttering all over my place, not just my closet. I’ve been listening to The Minimalist podcast and it’s been so inspiring. I am not a minimalist but it has really helped me curb my shopping and enjoy the pieces I do have. Now I find myself hesitating whenever I have the urge to buy something, and wonder to I really need this item and will it add value to my life or closet. Yesterday I shared my favorite purchases of 2017, it’s not just clothing but everything I loved and found so helpful.
