Hey guys! If you missed the first part of my Fall prep, you can catch up here. Today we continue assessing our closets for Fall to make sure to avoid all “I have anything to wear” moments. It may not get incredibly cold here but at some point I won’t be able to stroll around in shorts anymore. So today let’s go through some of the best bottoms and dresses for the upcoming season.
Jeans: Great fitting jeans are a must year round but I know that soon I will be wearing them a lot more, even to work. My favorite cut is the skinny, but I also like straight legs. I love a dark skinny pair for Fall and I grabbed a pair during the nsale. It’s perfect for work and more casual looks. I also love a black pair and the trick is to find one that doesn’t fade overtime. My favorite brand for affordable jeans is Gap, I have several pairs and they last a long time. I am sharing my favorite pairs below, if you are in the mood to splurge I love AG. I also tried Good American and J.Brand and loved them, I’ve heard incredible things about Mother Brand and I’m dying to pick one up with a gift-card I have. Also summer may be almost over but I won’t be retiring my white jeans, they are great for a Fall neutral look.
Skirts: I wear skirts year round, with tights if it’s really cold. Fall is the perfect time to grab a full midi skirt, I love the jeweled colors one (think burgundy, marigold or emerald green). They look great with sweaters and boots. I also love skirts in luxe fabrics like tweed for Fall, again find some of my favorites below.
Leggings: Fall is leggings season in my opinion, last year I absolutely fell in love with Spanx leggings and got 3, they will be on heavy rotation again this year and I already have my eyes on this pair. Thankfully these tees are long enough to cover the tush so I have perfect basics to layer with plaid shirts, cute sweater and jackets. I do have a few other leggings that I totally recommend, check them out below.
Dresses: Summer dresses may be almost out but there’s plenty of Fall appropriate styles perfect for layering. My all time favorite is of course my striped dresses, but there’s so many others style that can be worn to both casual and more formal settings. Here are some of my favorites, layer them with sweater, jacket, leggings and so on.
Hope you enjoyed this post and if you missed Part I of my Fall prep series, you can catch up here.
