20 Basic Fall Outfits 2.0
September 2015 Outfit Recap

IMG_3599As I wore these pants to workout one day, I remembered the post I did back in January when I was desperate to get back in shape. I always loved to workout, but being consistent with eating well and working out was always a struggle. The process itself is simple but does require patience and commitment, there’s not quick fix. Sometimes I have bad days or even a bad week, but I just start all over again. If you are struggling with getting healthy I do hope this inspires in some way, Kayla wrote this awesome post that I just had to share and she is so right. It also about balance, some days my diet is super clean and others I have half a salad and 2 slices of pizza. Honestly there’s no way I could eat clean ALL THE TIME, I would lose my mind for sure. I personally try to cook with organic ingredients and stay away from heavily processed food. I don’t do low fat anything! Don’t try to follow any fad diet (paleo, vegan, gluten-free,…)just because, if you want to learn about a particular diet just do your research and figure out what works best for you. Better yet talk to a professional. I am wrapping up Week 12 of the Bikini Body Guide and I cannot wait to start the next guide. I may or may not be a little scared.

I picked up soba noodles at this Japanese market that I go to for amazing sushi. I sauteed veggies and added tons of seasoning. I added about 1/4 of water to cooked the veggies a bit, I then add the shrimp and the noodles. The noodles are really thin so I didn’t bother cooking them separately.

This was one of the most delicious meal prep ever, I got the risotto recipe here and the chicken recipe here. I don’t have a grill so I used this panini pan and press to get my chicken like that.

Acai bowls are the easiest thing to make, I use 1 pack of sambazon, 1/4 cup of almond+coconut milk, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and I add peanut butter or almond butter. Blend it all and top it with coconut flakes, granola, blueberries, bananas and more.

Fashion (Activewear & more)

Upon completion of the 12 weeks of the Bikini Beach Body guide, I finally got an activity tracking watch. I really wanted the Apple Watch but they are a bit pricey, my second favorite the Polar m400 was on sale so I have been using that to track my daily activity goals. I love that it tells you the percentage of fat burn per workout, it took me a few days to get the hang of it but that’s because I failed to RTFM. That is short for read the fucking manual. Pretty much you set your sport profiles online and sync them to your watch. My favorite feature is that you can lock an heart rate zone, so you get a notification if you need to push harder or slow down depending on what you’re doing. You do need a heart rate monitor and most of the watches come with one, I just already had mine.

Cons: It does not fit in well with my wardrobe lol. If the Polar team needs me to design a new watch I totally would, I would even do it for free.
