before and after Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide progressHey guys! Fit Friday is baaaaack. After my birthday weekend, it was time to get back on track. I’m finishing week 9 this week of the guide and boy am I struggling, add my time of the month so you know the struggle is real. I want to eat everything in sight, I’m pushing through each workout and making sure not to skip any. When I get a headache I find that working out helps, usually 10 minutes into the workout it’s already gone. The weight loss and getting toner and stronger are also great benefits. I know it can be intimidating to start a workout regimen, but all you have to do is start and do not compare yourself to other people. If you are weak and can only lift a 3 pound weight, that’s ok just do your best and eventually you will progress. The only time you won’t see any results is when you don’t do anything at all.

For this pesto penne, I got this organic pesto at whole foods. I cooked my penne according to the box (I usually use half of the box) and set it aside after I drain it. I sauteed broccoli, onion, peppers and added my seasoned chicken. Add any seasoning you like, I got a bunch at Trader Joe’s that I use on everything. Once the chicken is well cooked, add the penne and about 3 tablespoon of the pesto. Mix well, add more pesto if you want.

This is another easy peasy recipe. I bake a sweet potato cut in half in the the oven. I wash and cut the tops of my string beans. I warm up a big pan set to medium, then add 1/2 tablespoon of ghee. Next, add you string beans and seasoned with salt and pepper (I also use my favorite seasonings). I always have a batch chicken ready to eat in the fridge, so I just add some of that to the beans. If they are taking longer to cook, cover the pan for bit to seal in the heat. Serve with a side of sweet potato and voila! Keep in mind you can also make it with beef or shrimp.

I love trying new great product, after I got my waffle maker I was determined to get my money’s worth. I am loving FlapJacked protein pancake mix, I’ve been having it every single day (I have proof on snapchat @pinksole_rach). I’ve used the recipe on the package, but eventually started doing my own thing. I blend 1 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond coconut milk, 1 banana, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 cup of oats. In a bowl I add 1 cups of the pancake mix then add my blended mixture. Mix well for some delish waffles, in the waffle maker I use about 1/2 cup of my mix. I love to top them with nuts n more and sliced bananas.

Good sports bras are a must when working out ladies, this one has a lot of support and some padding that is so necessary for me. Thanks to a gift card, I also got this white sports bra at Victoria’s Secret. They go by bra sizes and offer a lot of support and some padding which I love.
