french-wardrobe-challengeHey guys! this is the last update to conclude the French Wardrobe Challenge for Spring/Summer 2014. The best part of it for me was to put a limit on the amount of stand out items I buy, I find it way easier to dress when I have all  my basics. My birthday is on September 10th so I did a few splurges here and there recently, I always put a little money away to spoil myself on my birthday. These purchases will be documented in the next update.

My biggest success during this challenge was by far my closet cleaning, the majority of my new purchases were financed from my eBay income (and money earned from the blog). I then felt less guilty, my closet is also perfectly organized now I finally seem to be able to move clothes around. My challenge for the next few months is to keep it that way.

For the next round of the French Wardrobe Challenge, I know that I want to shop less. So I am actively working on a shopping list that I will try my best to stick by. If you are interested I will gladly share it with you. I don’t have to worry much about Fall/Winter since I live in South Florida, but I do have to travel up North during the winter so I am on the market for a coat, a couple sweaters and new boots.

I love to shop and my weaknesses are mainly clothes and shoes. I love bags but don’t go to crazy, I can be happy with a few for a very long time. I’ve also learned to pinpoint the items that I really love and wear a lot. Honestly I don’t regret any of the purchases I’ve made below as I have been actively wearing them, some more than other of course.

Fall/Winter 2014-2015 updates will be held at the end of the month, so expect the next at the end of September.

  1. Quality over quantity.
  2. Basics don’t count.
  3. Accessories don’t count, unless you’re spending a lot more than usual.
  4. Socks and underwear don’t count.
  5. Shoes do count. (I decided to not count shoes but I have made an effort in the last few months to not buy as many shoes as I used to)

Part of my Five, Seven:
