Happy Sunday guys! Hope your weekend is going well, on Thursday when I realized I didn’t have anything planned for 4th of July I convinced two of my girlfriends to take an impromptu trip to Key West. It was very last minute so I didn’t think to bring my camera but I think my iPhone did a pretty good job. I was pretty good about taking pics of all the places I visited, but totally forgot to snaps some of Fanta Sea; A coastal home accessories and more store, where I got the best soap and lotion that I’ve been using non-stop ever since I got home. All of these places can be found on Duval Street, needless to say we walked a lot. PS: People in Key West are extremely friendly.
**Warning** This post has a lot of pics. I totally copied Gina’s outfit. Wearing ( lace top – Express, coral tank – Old Navy, shorts – Gap, sunnies – Illesteva, bag – Michael Kors, espadrilles – Soludos)
At the Sunset Pier, it was so hot I had to take off my cami. Thankfully I was wearing my bathing suit under. (neon pink string top – J.Crew) Next time I’m in Key West I am totally staying at a Bed and Breakfast, they are so so cute. This one is called Chelsea House. Now I had to stop at Margaritaville and I’m so happy they are opening one closer to me soon.
Key West has tons of great restaurants. While we were at Wyland Art Gallery and a very sweet consultant suggested that we try Seven Fish, we were starving and had the most amazing meal. We were one of the first customers of the evening and within 30 minutes the restaurant was completely packed. If you are ever in Key West, I highly recommend this restaurant. I also had the best lunch in Marathon, FL at the Conch Cracked Cafe, it was my first time having a conch melt and hopefully not the last because it was to-die-for.
I so regret not getting one of those 1/2 pound cookies from Mattheessen’s, for a sugar addict like me this is a big accomplishement but at least I took a pic.Drag Queens are very popular in the Keys and I had to make my friends snap a shot with these fierce ladies.
We just had to stop to meet Gracie, she is gorgeous and loves to be petted.
We also met the cutest Great Dane named Valentino, he was so sweet now I am convinced that I need a great dane in my life. We’ll see… This is the Hard Rock in Key West, very different from the one I am used to. If I owned a house I would have probably splurge on this gorgeous chair and foot rest, a leopard chair is a must!!! This is the last pic that I took while laying on the beach waiting for the fireworks before our drive back home. All of this happened in 24 hours.
