Over the last two months of 2013 I was really bad, I am slowly getting my good habits back. First I started taking better care of my skin again and my goal is to wear less make up during the summer because it gets so hot here. To clear out my skin as I still have acne marks, I use both Aveeno foam cleanser and cleansing pads as my face wash, I am on my first bottle of Clinique ‘Even Better‘ dark spot corrector and my morning moisturizer is the Bright Plus by Clairins. I love both Clinique and Clairins, my skin as improved so much since I started using them. For my hair I can’t take any credit as my hairstylist does all the work, but I love a good shea butter deep treatment it will leave your hair shiny and silky for days.
A big part to getting clearer skin is to fix your diet, I do bootcamp 3 to 5 times a week so I’m on a high protein diet and I make sure to eat fish 4-5 times a week and have about 2 protein shakes a day. I’m telling you I love a good steak or a burger, but eating less red meats does wonders for me, so I only splurge once in a while. Taking your daily vitamins is also a must and I am so bad at that, I also take biotin for my hair and nails. I find that a healthy diet is as beneficial to your skin and hair as much as any products you could use. I try to eat fresh fruits and veggies and cut back my sugar intake, some of my favorites are avocados, kale, blueberries, peaches, brussels sprouts and more. And finally staying hydrated is a must, try to have those 8 glasses of water a day it will make a huge difference for your skin and hair.
