Happy Hump Day! Hope your week is going well, mine is crazy with work but we are halfway through it. One of my favorite work wardrobe staples are my cropped trousers. They are comfortable, versatile and can be styled in so many ways. I’ve had this blue pair forever and I wanted to show you a few ways to wear it.
- Eyelet white top: Plain tops are always perfect with colorful pants that’s a no brainer. That is exactly why I have so many light colored tops, they are classics and there’s endless ways to style them for both casual and work wear. I love eyelet everything to be honest and this eyelet white top ramp up this simple look just a bit, making it ideal for your Summer workwear. For this look I chose my patent wedges, I’ve had these for years. When I want extra height without wearing pumps, they are my go-to. I am always on the look out for classic shirts and here a few I’ve found.
- Green tee & Cardigan: I am not huge on color-blocking, to be honest I don’t always want to wear bold looks. However this shade of blue and kelly green are a match made in heaven. To tone it down I added a dark beige cardigan, yes beige cardigans are as plain as can be, but they are a staple because they can be paired with so many other pieces whatever the color or print. Here I’m wearing my mary janes flats, they are available in select sizes in a few colors, other great options are this and this.
- Striped shirt: To know me is to totally expect this, yes stripes are as basic to me as a white top, they go with pretty much everything. I’m seriously considering getting this striped shirt as a backup of the shirt I’m wearing here because I wear it so much. It pairs perfectly with the blue pants and the almost navy blue stripes compliments the cobalt blue to the T. I wore this with lovely oxfords that I’ve had for ages, similar here and here. More classic striped shirts…
My pants are the columnist low rise ankle pants and they are true to size. I recently noticed the mid rise version that is available in few more colors and I ordered the vintage pink. I’ll of course keep you posted on that, maybe I could do a post to show multiple ways to style the pink one as well. Let me know if you would be interested in seeing that? Again if you have particular pieces you would love to see styled different ways, please feel free to let me in the comments or send me an email at email@example.com.
